Prada lands in Formentera with the pop-up Tropico

Prada’s new temporary installation is located in Es More, Formentera, and will be open to the public all summer to offer a selection of unique pieces.

The Prada Tropico pop-up store is dedicated to a special selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, bags, shoes and accessories. It features a striking contrast of shades dominated by white and blue, accentuated by luminous effects and striped prints. At the same time, the brand‘s visual hallmarks are revisited in a contemporary style, inspired by imaginary distant worlds.

The space at Es More, in Formentera, combines the austere rationality of pure design at a right angle with the pop flavour of elements such as the neon lights used to highlight the Prada name and the iconic triangle logo. The floor continues the effect of the stripes on the walls, while the exotic wood furniture imbues the atmosphere with a soothing quality.

Highlights echo the ease of summer through poplin T-shirts, lightweight long dresses, polished beachwear and numerous accessories in light colours and geometric patterns. Spontaneous and sophisticated, the ready-to-wear selection alternates relaxed linen and poplin pieces in white and blue with classic sailor prints and stripes. Accessories merge with casualness: men’s shoes take the form of formal loafers and women’s shoes become sandals or espadrilles. A range of bags slips between different options: tote bags with stripes and geometric shapes meet the new Prada Arqué, available in black, white and cognac. Lastly, accessories include distinctive hats and square sunglasses, true summer must-haves.
