An imaginary that reflects today’s reality and underlines the notion of metropolitan clothing at the heart of Prada’s sportswear line.
The campaign images, captured by Norbert Schoerner, reflect the nature of contemporary life living in the urban landscape. Impossible combinations and paradoxical views are found in garments engineered from technological fibres with seams and details outlined as graphic devices, in monochrome black and white or fluorescent orange.
This is Prada Linea Rossa: intertwined realities inspired by natural movement and the needs of the body. The juxtapositions between purpose and intention are found in bodysuits and swimming costumes that contrast with lightweight, all-weather pieces.
This season, Prada is taking the idea of clothing as a shelter for the body further by teaming up with OMA (Office for Metropolitan Architecture) to design a lightweight, modernist tent that fits into the urban territory and contains the multi-faceted, geometric structure of Linea Rossa.
