Prada opens Prada Café in London

The new Prada Café is a space created as an innovative expression of the brand with the aim of offering a unique and attractive experience.

The new Prada Café, located in London’s iconic Harrods, is a space created as an innovative expression of the brand with the aim of offering a unique and engaging experience to its customers.

Reinterpreting the visual codes of the fashion house, the environment perfectly reflects the language, the approach and its distinctive vision of the world in all its details: from the furnishings to the gastronomic offer.

Inside the Café, the walls, ceilings and velvet upholstered seats are delicately dyed green, Prada‘s signature colour, while the black and white checkered floor is taken from the historic boutique in Milan‘s Galería Vittorio Emanuele II . Finally, the foral bas-reliefs on the walls evoke international flagship shops.

The service features original and exclusive materials that have been meticulously chosen, maintaining aesthetic continuity with the surroundings. Therefore, they are offered in a range that goes from porcelain made in Japan characterised by a soft blue colour with a contrasting double black thread, inspired by the old celadon porcelain – cups, teapots, plates and trays – to blown glass goblets, including the ‘Triangle’ series.

The enogastronomic proposal is extensive, ranging from breakfast to the evening cocktail, and reinterprets Italian tradition in a light and modern declination, with tramezzini and risotto alternating with buffalo mozzarella; but also salmon and crab dishes and aperitifs based on spritz or Negroni along with the house brand cocktails. The wine cellar includes wines from all over the peninsula, with bottles from Sicily to Piedmont.

But the main protagonist is undoubtedly the patisserie, displayed on the emblematic central counter and on the wall behind it. It features a selection of haute patisserie creations, made by combining artisan skill with modern techniques and classic ingredients with more contemporary aromas and flavours.

The Prada Café will be open until 7 January 2024 from 9am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to 6pm on Sundays. If you are in LondonWhat are you waiting for?
