Prada teams up with China’s women’s national team to design official kit

Just 11 days before the start of the Women’s World Cup, the Chinese national team announces its partnership with the Italian fashion house to produce the official uniforms.

Known as the ‘Steel Roses’, the 23 players of the Chinese national team will wear Prada‘s tailored designs to formal events as well as on the team’s travels. An elegant black ensemble comprising a blazer and trousers, a button-down shirt and leather loafers will give the sporting ensemble “a fresh and contemporary look off the field”.

As the Italian house says, “the Chinese women’s national football team has built a worldwide reputation and is a source of inspiration for young athletes, focusing public and institutional attention on a democratic and inclusive sport”.

Having won the Asian Cup in 2022, the team is now preparing for the FIFA World Cup, which starts on 20 July, where they will make their debut against Denmark two days later.
