Pre-Summer shades: from warm copper to ‘sun kissed effect’

Between now and the summer, we will continue the fever for intense copper, gradually moving on to warmer blondes and natural highlights (e.g. butter, beige and champagne). Very luminous and deep browns will also be very bright, with caramel, hazelnut and mocha tones, some with bronze touches. Breaking the trend is jet black, an elegant and dramatic shade ideal for a polished, reflective finish. In terms of colouring techniques, babylights, balayage, money piece and sun kissed are still in vogue.

Warm, vibrant tones that add luminosity and depth to the hair. This is essentially a good summary of the colour trends we’ll be seeing until summer arrives. Cool blondes have been left behind to give way to brighter, golden vanilla tones, ideal for fair skin with their cream highlights or others such as honey or sandy, a perfect balance between beige and golden tones that also give the hair more dimension: “These tones must be maintained with special care, they can lose their shine or become yellowish over time. A good repairing shampoo that cleanses without damaging the colouring, together with a moisturising mask against dryness and frizz, is the winning solution to keep them full of light and shine” – advises María García from Dalire.

We will still see a lot of copper/reddish until summer arrives, especially intense coppers that stand out on fair and medium skins, but also transitions to more natural tones with warm highlights or even soft reds. When it comes to treatment and care, copper sometimes tends to fade quickly: “Regular use of sulphate-free shampoos prevents pigment loss. It would also be good to apply a colour bath every so often in order to refresh the tone, as well as to avoid washing with hot water, which accelerates colour loss.

Natural highlights: effortless illumination

The favourite colouring techniques are still babylights, balayage and money piece, which add dimension and shine without the need for constant maintenance: “We are starting to see trends like sun kissed (subtle highlights that mimic the natural lightening of the sun) and caramel or hazelnut tones, ideal for brown bases, with beige or champagne highlights for hair with more light but that doesn’t look too contrasting. In all these cases, moisturising products are the best, as they prevent the strands from drying out, as well as balancing and nourishing shampoos to keep them shiny and frizz-free”, says Dalire

From warm copper to mocha mousse

A mid-season colour that stands out is warm copper, a mix of dark blonde and copper but not quite red: ‘Ideal to combine with babylights or other shades of red, especially for white and/or lightly tanned skin’ – says Paul Tudor, director of the David Künzle Fuencarral. salon. Mocha Mousse, the shade chosen by Pantone as the colour of the year 2025, will also be present during this transition from spring to summer: ‘It’s a soft, creamy cocoa that we can fuse with bronde and tiger eye highlights, ideal for women who are looking for more clarity in their hair, or fantastic with caramel highlights’. Among the blondes, her favourite is vanilla: “It has a golden base and is also very beautiful in highlights, capable on its own of softening features.

On luminous browns and jet black

Hazelnut, chocolate caramel and mocha will be three of the most popular browns this season, all of which add movement and dimension to hair. Intense and shiny, jet black will be another of the tones that come back with force although it is a trend that goes by itself, as well as the classic black, deep and sophisticated, or black with bluish reflections for a more vibrant and modern look. Dalire recommends using specific products for colour-treated hair to maintain it: “This way we avoid loss of shine… and light oils on the ends, a way to enhance its luminosity. Of course, always wash it with cold or lukewarm water to seal the cuticle and make the colour last longer”.
