Following the latest collaboration with Vans, Gucci’s Gucci Vault sub-label has teamed up with the Proleta Re Art team to transform a denim jacket and trouser set from their latest “Continuum” capsule collection.
After exploring the Maison’s archives for inspiration and knowledge of the raw materials used by the brand, Proleta Re Art has transformed a denim jacket with GG monogram lining and jeans from Gucci’s “Continuum” collection into its own work of art.
Founded in Tokyo by an artist working under the pseudonym PROT, Proleta Re Art transforms pre-existing denim through the Japanese boro technique involving layers of hand-stitched patchwork. Through his artisanal processes, he has managed to update the latest from Gucci.
