For Spring/Summer 2026, PRONOUNCE delves into the visual and spiritual imagery of traditional Chinese kites, transforming their symbolism into a proposal that soars between cultural heritage and urban avant-garde. A collection that goes beyond the aesthetic: it becomes a textile and emotional exploration of the tension between lightness and structure, between East and West, between artisanal and futuristic.
The garments capture the volatile essence of a kite in flight: translucent fabrics, floating materials, unconventional closures, and silhouettes in constant motion. Typical elements of kitemaking—folds, ribbons, ropes, knots—replace classic buttons and seams, shaping pieces that appear suspended in mid-air. All with the technical savoir-faire that defines PRONOUNCE.
Tailoring, the brand’s DNA, is reinterpreted with a softcore sensibility: fluid suits, plays with proportion, tactile textures, and rope details that break with the rigidity of traditional clothing. Here, natural cotton (slow-drying, fine or heavyweight), lightweight silk, soft jacquard, and recycled ocean fabrics compose a symphony of textural contrasts.
Footwear also makes history: PRONOUNCE Workshop launches its first official line of handmade leather accessories, washed and distressed, as if they’ve survived an emotional storm. The straps, evoking the structure of a kite, become a metaphor for resilience. Necklaces with oriental stones signed by the artist UNDETECTED complete the visual universe.
Colorfully, the collection is a pure summer sky fantasy. Earthy and monochromatic tones are complemented by pastel explosions—macaron pink, sky blue, mint green, lavender—that inject visual pleasure and dreamlike movement into every look. For SS26, there are no genders or borders: corsets, wide-leg trousers, unstructured blazers, and sheer shirts speak an inclusive, powerful, and free language.
All of this played out to the rhythm of a soundtrack by DINER, which blends post-punk, pentatonic structures, and electronic dance music. From tradition to club, from guzheng to hi-NRG: a sonic journey as hybrid as the collection itself.
