Proenza Schouler enters a new chapter with the appointment of Rachel Scott as creative director. The Jamaican designer, founder of Diotima, takes on the role following the departure of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. Since March, the pair have been leading Loewe’s creative department.

With over sixteen years of experience in Milan and New York, Scott will combine her new position with the direction of Diotima. The label, launched in 2021, produces between Jamaica and New York. Her first collection for Proenza Schouler will be autumn-winter 2026, to be unveiled in February next year. At the same time, she will present her latest Diotima collection on 15 September during New York Fashion Week.

Founded in 2002 in New York, Proenza Schouler quickly established itself in the industry after receiving the inaugural CFDA award in 2004. The brand now has a presence in more than 350 international points of sale and distributes its collections through leading luxury e-commerce platforms. In 2019, the company received investment from L Catterton, LVMH’s investment vehicle, with the aim of reinforcing global expansion.

The appointment of Rachel Scott marks the beginning of a new cycle for Proenza Schouler, at a time when the industry continues to adjust its creative leadership in search of greater cultural and commercial projection.
