The HIGHXTAR. team had the pleasure of enjoying the 31st edition of Sónar – which brought together dance music pioneers, modern icons, techno stars and innovators from different eras, scenes and disciplines – thanks to the iconic fashion-sport brand Lacoste. In this way, Barcelona once again became the world epicentre of electronic music and cultural innovation. After having our expectations sky-high for last year, we can confirm that this Sónar has surprised us again thanks to Lacoste, its community and its unique programming.

The brand once again presented a unique space next to the emblematic artificial grass of the Sónar Village during Sónar by Day. Artists, friends of the brand and thousands of festival-goers like Julieta Gracián, Omar el Pretinho, Adrián Grösser, Clara Aparicio, Tania Morenilla, Aleix Barau, Oscar Gimenez, Leti Sala, Ugo Boulard and Leguard, among many others, were there wearing their best looks and Lacoste trainers like the new L003 2K24 silhouette and the Audyssor Zip OG, a reissue of one of the brand’s icons from the 2000s.
Inspired by the clay tennis courts that are as intrinsic to Lacoste’s DNA as tennis is, this year’s striking set design was intended to be a futuristic oasis of relaxation (and it succeeded). With fans and charging points for mobile devices, this space with an artistic vocation combined sophistication and minimalism while taking us back to the brand’s origins. Inside, the New Memories Unlocked activation took place, giving visitors the opportunity to have their photos taken, create unique memories and win essential Lacoste pieces for the festival.
The festival par excellence for all electronic music lovers had a dream line-up and it was difficult to make it to all the performances we had marked as favourites, but in the end we were able to. During Sónar by Day we saw AMORE, Bikôkô, Blck Mamba, Folamour A/V, Gabber Eleganza, DJ Gigola, horsegiirL, Judeline, Laurent Garnier, Mainline Magic Orchestra, pablopablo, Sevdaliza, SHYBOI, Skin on Skin, TAAHLIAH, TOMMY CASH and ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U. At Sónar by Night we enjoyed shows by Adriatique, Aretha, BLEX, Héctor Oaks, Julietta Ferrari, Kaytranada, KIKI/live, LaFrancesssa, Soto Asa, DJ Tennis, VTSSS and Charlotte de Witte.
For the second year in a row, Lacoste also presented the official festival bag available to all those with a VIP Pass and SonarPass+D Pass. An essential piece for day-to-day life and for festival-goers, becoming an all-terrain accessory. From HIGHXTAR. we were able to visit exclusively the showroom that Lacoste had inside Sónar for the artists. In this way, we interviewed relevant profiles within the music industry such as DJ Gigola, Sevdaliza, pablopablo and many more that we had the privilege to see at Sónar thanks to Lacoste.
