Rick Owens did it again. Today at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris he presented a proposal that has blurred the barriers between art and fashion. If we had to divide it into percentages, the most likely thing is that art would win over fashion.
In a stage practically identical to the SS19 of men three months ago and a big bonfire, the American designer showed us a proposal in which the three-dimensional took all the protagonism away from the simple designs and the impossible tailoring came before the basic lines.
The models wore looks based on the company’s typical palette along with accessories such as XXL glasses. Lenses that become, from now on, #must SS19. On the feet sandals and boots with just the right height to avoid getting too hot.
