The Maison unveils its latest campaign starring two of tennis’ most acclaimed legends in a journey of ambition, determination and discovery.
The summit of the Italian mountain range known as the Dolomites becomes the perfect setting for the new chapter of ‘Core Values’, the Louis Vuitton story told through the lens of Annie Leibovitz. In this installment, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal leave their professional rivalry behind to become climbing partners and meet at an altitude of 3,000 metres under the slogan “Some journeys become legends”.
It is a kind of visual metaphor for their respective trajectories, marked by a beautiful friendship, a deep mutual respect and a road full of obstacles to overcome. The Swiss has 20 Grand Slam victories to his name, beating the competition record with sublime elegance; while the Manacor native has won the competition 22 times, 14 of them at the French Open.
In this way, ‘Core Values’ unveils some of the most special surprises of this release, such as the Monogram Christopher backpack, a symbol of timeless style; and the Monogram Eclipse, the bearer of dynamism, strength and tenacity. A tribute to the values of LV embodied by champions who have told their story as well as wielded their rackets.
“I know how many important icons have been part of this campaign, so I am personally very proud to be part of it especially to be able to share the experience with Roger; a person who has gone from being my biggest rival to a close friend. Throughout my career I have achieved more than I ever dreamed of, at the end of the day I have realised that legacy in human terms is the most important value,” explains Rafa Nadal.
