Givenchy presents its Spring 2026 campaign, Friends and Muses, a story about friendship. Rooney Mara and Paul Simonon, punk legend and artist, star in the images shot by Collier Schorr under the creative direction of Sarah Burton.
Burton describes the idea clearly: “My friends are often my muses, and my muses often become my friends.” That connection is the thread that links the American actress and the British punk icon, bassist for The Clash and visual artist. Two figures from different worlds who fit into the sensitive and somewhat raw narrative that characterizes this new phase for the brand.
The campaign, styled by Camilla Nickerson, exudes authenticity: clothes that look lived-in, gestures that don’t seek to pose, an elegance that needs no artifice. Schorr captures that tension between Givenchy’s refinement and Simonon’s subversive energy, balanced by Mara’s restrained and magnetic presence.
Friends and Muses, in Burton’s hands, is not about distant icons, but about real people who inspire through connection. A dialogue between art, music, and emotion that gives Givenchy a depth that is rare in these times of rapid imagery.
