Barely two years after his appointment.
This morning we woke up to an official statement confirming the news and informing us that the Autumn/Winter 2025 show, scheduled for this month’s Milan Fashion Week, will be led by Gucci‘s design studio.
Stefano Cantino, CEO of the House, took the opportunity to thank De Sarno, highlighting his ‘passion and dedication’ during his tenure, while Francesca Bellettini, deputy CEO of Kering, praised his ‘loyalty and professionalism’ and noted that the Gucci team will continue to build on the foundations established during his tenure.
Although it has not been revealed who will fill the vacant position, the announcement marks the end of a long-awaited era, but one that did not quite clear up all the unknowns. Sabato De Sarno, appointed in January 2023, came to Gucci to succeed Alessandro Michele, who left an indelible mark on the House’s history.
