The new sacai collection unveiled at Paris Fashion Week FW23 ‘Interestellar’ is now available for Autumn/Winter ’23.
The new sacai collection was largely inspired by Christopher Nolan’s 2014 film Interstellar. As a point of reference to the sci-fi project, the motifs of one of the highest-grossing films in cinema history served as inspiration to create the graphics for Chitose Abe’s collection.
Bringing together sacai’s codes of hybridisation and transformation, Chitose Abe focuses on three main references from Nolan’s film. The pieces feature Murph’s bookstore print, the morse code print and the anomaly print that showed Cooper’s line, “I was never meant to die here”.
References can be seen in the feathers, bouses, puffer jackets, dresses, bombers, jumpers, varsity jackets and knitwear, just to name a few. Also in the accessories, hats and caps also paid homage to the film Interstellar which was released in 2014.
The collection will be available in sacai shops and online from 14 July.
