Samsung kicks off 2025 with the launch of its new range of smartphones, the S25 series, which marks the beginning of a new era in user-device interaction. The South Korean giant is moving further into the realm of artificial intelligence with the promise of radically transforming the way we connect with technology, proposing a ‘fundamental shift’ in our everyday experience.
The S25 series comes equipped with a custom processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, developed exclusively for Samsung. This next-generation chip not only promises unparalleled performance in terms of power efficiency, but will also greatly enhance the Galaxy AI software, improving photography, video and especially neural processing.
The flagship S25 Ultra features a 6.9-inch QHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed for ultra-smooth viewing. In terms of cameras, the S25 Ultra leads the way with a quad system, including a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 200MP wide-angle lens and two telephoto lenses with varying levels of optical zoom, covering all kinds of photographic needs. The S25+ and S25 models, meanwhile, reduce their size to 6.7‘ and 6.2’ respectively and simplify their photographic configuration, eliminating one of the telephoto lenses in the more affordable version.
The launch event is set for 7 February, when Samsung will unveil all the details of its new devices and confirm whether its promises of AI and graphics power become a tangible reality.
