Sandy Liang and Salomon team up again to reinvent the XT-Whisper

Sandy Liang and Salomon reunite for a third collaboration that arrives just in time for Fashion Month. This time, the duo have set out to reinvent one of the sports brand’s most iconic silhouettes: the XT-Whisper, a shoe that was rescued from Salomon’s archives last month.

‘The XT-Whisper is one of my favourite silhouettes from the Salomon archives, and I loved the challenge of reinterpreting it with a modern and fresh look,’ said Liang. ‘This design reflects my love of nature and outdoor adventures, fused with the practicality and comfort of everyday city life.’

Sandy Liang’s vision for the XT-Whisper takes the collaboration’s aesthetic into soft, sophisticated tonal territory. Silver detailing adds a touch of elegance, while the technical elements of the original model – such as its Sensifit™ fit system and iconic Quicklace laces – remain intact, perfecting the fusion of form and function.

Salomon revived the XT-Whisper last December, unveiling the shoe as part of the opening of its New York showcase, and now this new collaborative version further elevates its legacy. Sandy and Salomon’s first collaboration came in 2023 with the XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0, while this July they repeated their success with the Speedcross 3 Ribbon and RX MJ Sandy Liang.
