Sankuanz FW23: chapter 3, ‘the black widow’

The black widow makes her appearance in Sankuanz FW23 with a thirst for blood. In the heart of Paris, in the famous abandoned Garage Haussman, we witness how a ruthless woman – both victim and executioner – wields a sharp blade to defend herself and murder in cold blood.

With bloodlust and danger appeal, the SANKUANZ FW23 collection continues an in-depth exploration of the integration of street style into couture. And it embroiders it.

Last season’s Tibetan tunic silhouette has evolved, now with sleeves that merge into pleats, creating a balance between traditional oriental style and street fashion. The off-the-shoulder suits are interspersed with graffiti prints, representing the fusion of haute couture and more urban fashion.

The dagger, SANKUANZ(@sankuanz_official), signature emblem, is updated in the leather goods of this collection. It is used as a handle on handbags, on the toe and heel of pointy cowboy boots and on the end of belts, symbolizing the lethal weapon of an assassin. Alongside the femme fatale heels, chunky retro sneakers appear, which are presented in new colors, bringing the street style of the collection.

If Shangguan Zhe’s goal is to make a perfect symbiosis between high fashion and urban fashion, he is getting closer to the goal every season. Once again, the designer masterfully unites the two worlds in a collection worth admiring.
