Pop culture is celebrating! The cutest little cat has been around for no less than five decades.
Designed by Yuko Shimizu for Sanrio in 1974, Hello Kitty conquered the world from the moment she was introduced, taking over all kinds of products and starring in numerous TV series. Now, for its 50th anniversary, the creator company is teaming up with McDonald’s to create a special menu celebrating its history and charm.
Just as adorable as the character, the food on offer consists of a beef and onion sandwich – carefully wrapped in cute paper and delivered in a box decorated with a large Hello Kitty and a multitude of flowers – curly fries, a ‘Dragon Fruit Fizz’ drink and a special McFlurry. For those who are not fans of burgers, there is a second option: pepper steak with rice.
At the moment, the special menu is only available in Indonesia, but it is not excluded that it will soon be available in other countries.
PS: McDonald’s Spain… What are you waiting for?
