Daniel Roseberry is once again playing with the brand’s codes and presenting a new version of the Secret bag, the icon that Elsa Schiaparelli designed in 1935 with a padlock-shaped clasp. Now, for the Fall/Winter 2025 season, that padlock returns in a more relaxed style, with flexible materials and a western feel.
The silhouette abandons the rigidity of the first edition from 2023 to become a slouchy bag with a shoulder strap and fluid structure that works day & night. The gold brass clasp, faithful to the surreal padlock that guards the secrets of the maison, is accompanied by an eyelet chain and a gold key that hangs as a nod to the universe of mystery and playfulness that defined Elsa.
Each version is a piece of craftsmanship. The hardware details—ear, eye, nose—and brass buckles taken from the FW25 runway reaffirm Schiaparelli’s DNA. But Roseberry not only reinterprets an iconic bag here, he turns it into an object of desire for a present that plays between the surreal and the cowboy couture of fashion.
The bag is now available at the Schiaparelli Salons on Place Vendôme, at key locations such as Harrods, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, and the Mandarin Oriental in Dubai.
