Skepta says Puma deal was much better than Nike deal

This would be the first collaborative collection since the rapper joined the brand as an official ambassador in mid-2022.

Skepta says Puma deal was much better than Nike deal

Following the launch of his new Skope Forever Puma trainer last week, Skepta took to social media to express his appreciation for his ongoing partnership with the global sportswear brand. The collection features Skepta’s signature designs with men’s trainers and joggers for the ultimate laid-back look when you’re listening to music or hanging out with your crew.

On Saturday, Skepta posted on X: ‘My shoes are selling again,’ he wrote, ‘a much better deal now that I get royalties from the shoes sold. Thanks to everyone on this shoe journey with me. Literally, my dream has come true’. Skepta compared his deal with Puma, where he said he earns royalties on every shoe sold, to his deal with Nike.

Skepta said, without explicitly naming Nike, that despite the multiple projects he did with the Swoosh: ‘the brand treated me like an influencer because I didn’t go to school for shoe design’. ‘I proved myself in Portland over and over again,’ he wrote in X, referring to the city Nike calls home, ‘and now we’re in Nuremberg with a much better situation for us as a team.’

All the details about the last meeting between Skepta and Puma.
