Airbnb has made one of our childhood wishes come true: to be able to stay in Shrek’s home and discover all its disgusting nooks and crannies.
And what better location than the Scottish Highlands, a beautiful landscape far from the noise of the city where you can enjoy the solitude like Shrek himself. Covered in moss, surrounded by boggy terrain and decorated with modest furnishings, the house has all the comforts you need to unwind for a couple of days. To go to the bathroom, however, you’ll need to go outside, as the bathroom is 20 metres from the front door, maintaining the original structure of the DreamWorks film.
Booking requests, which are free of charge, can be made from 13 October via the Airbnb website and will only accept a maximum of three guests per stay from 27-29 October. Proceeds will be donated to HopScotch Children’s Charity, a charity that provides cultural and dynamic trips to Scotland’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
