For the first time in almost three decades, Sonorama Ribera will reveal the full line-up of its upcoming 29th edition before the festival even opens its gates. The Burgos-based event, a key reference in the Spanish music scene, will be held from 5 to 9 August 2026 and promises to be a particularly meaningful edition.
A celebration in Madrid to unveil over 150 artists
On Wednesday, 3 December, the organisation will announce more than 150 artists and bands during a major event at Plaza Mahou (Madrid). The line-up will cover both the urban stages and those inside the festival grounds. This marks a significant change, as the festival has traditionally kept part of its programme under wraps until much closer to the start date.
Moreover, the presentation will feature live performances by Paul Alone, Oslo Ovnis and Repion. The evening will bring the festive, warm and vibrant spirit of Aranda de Duero to Madrid. As a result, the audience will enjoy a preview of the unique atmosphere that has made Sonorama Ribera one of the country’s most cherished cultural events.
Transparency without losing its essence
This step represents important progress for the festival and strengthens its commitment to its community. From December onwards, the organisation will offer a complete overview of its musical proposal — something never done before. Even so, Sonorama’s DNA remains intact. Surprises will continue to be revealed over the coming months, not only in terms of music but also through parallel activities, cultural experiences and gastronomic proposals. Initiatives that highlight the identity of the Ribera del Duero region will also continue.
The surprise concerts in Plaza del Trigo, one of the festival’s most iconic traditions, will remain an unbreakable ritual. As always, they will be kept secret until the very last moment. The countdown to Sonorama Ribera’s 29th edition has officially begun.
This edition is made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Aranda de Duero City Council, the Regional Government of Castile and León, the Ribera del Duero Designation of Origin — the festival’s official wine — as well as Tierra de Sabor and Vibra Mahou, the music platform of Mahou Cinco Estrellas.
