Sony rewrites the rules with its WH-1000XM5 headphones

The new edition of Sony’s 1000X series, the WH-1000XM5 wireless noise-cancelling headphones, is here. This new model brings a whole new immersive sound experience without distractions.

The WH-1000XM5 is built with much more advanced noise cancellation, with two processors controlling eight microphones that drastically reduce noise, especially in the high and mid-frequency range. It also features the Auto NC Optimizer function, which automatically optimizes noise cancellation according to the environment in which we are, creating an immersive experience.

The 30 mm driver, designed with a lightweight and rigid dome, uses a carbon fiber composite material for a more natural sound quality. High frequencies will be restored through the use of DSEE Extreme™ which enhances music files in real time, allowing you to appreciate the details of audio tracks. These new headphones are certified with 360 Reality Audio for an immersive and personalized music experience.

The WH-1000XM5 arrives in synthetic leather with a soft fit that fits snugly over the head, eliminating pressure on the ears and blocking out external noise. These headphones feature Quick Access, thanks to which you can set the headphones to resume Spotify playback with two or three taps, without the need to touch the phone. In addition, with its Bluetooth function it is possible to pair two devices at the same time.

And if that wasn’t enough Sony has designed these headphones with the environment in mind. There is no plastic in the WH-1000XM5’s packaging, which has been created based on low-toxicity design principles and a “Made to Recycle” philosophy. The product box has been manufactured using recycled and sustainable materials, specially developed by Sony. The WH-1000XM5 also uses recycled plastic materials from automobile parts.
