After an exciting inaugural launch with Mexican artist Peso Pluma, Spotify is set to launch a series of capsules dedicated to music stars such as Daft Punk, Rosalia and Tyler, the Creator, among others.
Last week, Spotify surprised its audience by launching its first capsule in collaboration with Peso Pluma. This collection, designed to celebrate the Day of the Dead, includes a variety of garments ranging from sweatshirts, t-shirts, sweaters to scarves, all adorned with iconography and imagery characteristic of the artist’s recent works. The collection is available on Spotify’s website, with prices ranging from $20 to $120 (€19 to €112).
In the words of Peso Pluma, “Spotify has always supported my music, from day one, so it made sense to collaborate with them. I use these capsule items in my day-to-day life, so I want my fans to have them too. They have a special meaning to Mexican culture.” This initiative is not only a way to connect artists with their fans in a more personal way, but also celebrates cultural diversity through art and fashion.
Just this Tuesday, Spotify will go a step further in its foray into fashion by launching a new collection dedicated to one of electronic music’s most iconic duos, Daft Punk. Marking the 10th anniversary of their “Random Access Memories” album, the capsule will include illustrative hoodies, T-shirts with distinctive iconography and a stylish crystal watch featuring the duo’s logo.
Spotify plans to continue to surprise its users with collections for other notable artists, including names such as Tyler, the Creator, Tems and Rosalía.
In addition, Olivia Rodrigo is launching sustainable Linkbuds S headphones with Sony.
