This successful partnership highlights technical performance and textile research both on and off the pitch.
Two of the industry’s most popular brands continue to expand their creative partnership with a new football-inspired capsule collection entitled ‘SUMMER_’026 CAPSULE’. The collection offers a contemporary take on 1990s football culture through the use of experimental materials, functional construction and a visual language deeply rooted in both brands’ archives.
Because if there is one thing that truly unites Stone Island and New Balance, it is their shared obsession with material innovation and performance-driven design. Whilst the Italian brand brings its renowned experimental approach to fabrics and treatments, the sports brand contributes its long-standing expertise in sport and professional football. The result is a comprehensive collection that encompasses technical kits, footwear, everyday wear and accessories.
The on-pitch collection features a football kit comprising a shirt and shorts made from technical jacquard fabric, blending some of the most recognisable elements of both brands, such as the Stone Island compass and the NB logo. The socks, meanwhile, feature open-mesh panels and embroidered logos, whilst the Pro Football ball, developed with 32 thermoset panels and a micro-textured surface, completes the range.
And to conquer the tarmac, we’re introducing the new ABZORB 1890, trainers that blend classic running elements with a futuristic design. They feature the original 2002 sole, equipped with full-length SBS ABZORB cushioning, ensuring the same level of comfort and stability as the original. The upper combines micro ripstop mesh and seamless synthetic overlays in a wavy construction.
