Stone Island x New Balance Numeric 272: technical sailing on tarmac

A collaboration that elevates the skateboarding universe through the technical prism of marine aesthetics.

For the first time since the start of their creative partnership, Stone Island enters New Balance‘s Numeric line, a space dedicated to skateboarding, endurance and precision in every detail. The 272 silhouette has been reworked from the ground up, almost as if it were a laboratory prototype with a focus on the board and the sea as testing grounds.

The result is a vulcanised sneaker with an outsole designed to improve board feel in the forefoot and reduce heel impact. It features premium Ortholite insoles that provide underfoot comfort and protection, along with a slightly raised, non-marking outsole designed for grip.

Beyond the shape, the silhouette stands as a visual manifesto. From the STONE ISLAND MARINA branding printed on the synthetic tongue to the two-tone heel counter and embossed textures that directly reference the visual codes of the Marina 2025 sub-collection. The contrast of materials – premium suede, polyester canvas and light-reactive components – builds an upper that looks like it was designed to navigate the tarmac with precision.
