The July issue of British Vogue featured the talented and multi-faceted Suki Waterhouse, one of the most prominent figures in the world of modelling, music and acting, on its cover. In an exclusive interview, Waterhouse opened up about her personal and professional life, discussing her relationship with fellow celebrity Robert Pattinson, as well as her past experiences with actor Bradley Cooper and other details about her personal life and career.
Suki Waterhouse, who has been in a low-key relationship with Robert Pattinson since 2018, speaks candidly about what it’s like to share her life with the actor. “Robert and I have found a way to navigate our relationship away from public scrutiny as much as possible.” The model and actress stresses the importance of privacy in maintaining stability in their relationship. “We support each other and enjoy the simple moments together, out of the public eye.”
Reflecting on her past relationships, Waterhouse described her 20s as “sadistic”, noting that the love she experienced then was more of a “fetishisation”. She commented that when you are only loved in that way, you only receive punishment. However, as you enter your 30s, she said you are instantly accorded a little more respect, something she found both “charming and shocking”.
The singer praised Pattinson for his sense of humour and for not taking his past relationships too seriously. According to Waterhouse, “He didn’t really give a shit. He’s like, ‘No one’s better than me, so whatever”. Although she has kept quiet about her romance with Cooper, in a TikTok video, she commented, “I can’t believe I let someone who looks like me with this filter break my heart,” and gave a “like” to a fan who guessed she was referring to Cooper.
Now together for six years, she talks about her single “To Love” and Pattinson being the perfect match for her. “I had a very distinct feeling of being like, ‘Oh, wow, Rob and I have been together six years and I’m still really into this? That’s never happened to me before, that’s like crazy.” She continued, “This love and having a family and having a little world…. Whatever happens, this is my dream.”
