Supreme once again updates the archetypes of urban dressing with a new collection for the spring-summer 22 season that channels various artistic and cultural references.
The New York brand‘s lookbook, starring Sean Pablo, Mathias Sauvageon and Tyshawn Jones, features a new eclectic mix of patterns, prints, embroideries and badge appliqués that draw on multiple artistic inspirations. We thus dive into an infinite ocean in which we can detect the work of various photographers, contemporary artists, animations and films, as well as sports shots.
Within this urban imaginary, a series of pieces stand out, such as the GORE-TEX leather jacket, the shirt with “The Silver Surfer” logo or the Castelli cycling clothes.
The art is diluted in a denim jacket and trouser sets with the work of photographer Daido Moriyama, a jacket and a trainer’s jersey with scenes from H.K.’s “Gummo“, as well as in garments with references to “Aeon Flux“.
Other artistic pieces are represented in embroidered chain stitch by Raúl De Nieves, or through photographs of Dash Snow by Alain Levitt. Finally, the musical universe takes center stage on T-shirts with images of Lil’ Kim and Al Green with a matching skateboard.
Supreme’s SS22 collection will be released through its usual weekly drops, starting with the first installment that will set off the global alarm on 17 February.
