Supreme delves back into the cultural archives and joins forces with one of rap’s most influential collectives. Yes, we’re talking about Wu-Tang Clan, the group from Staten Island (New York) that changed the rules of hip-hop and continues to be a highly influential collective to this day. The result is an exclusive capsule collection that acts as an archive drop of one of the most iconic periods in the music industry.
The move comes as no surprise, given that a few months ago Ghostface Killah appeared on social media dressed in Supreme gear, fuelling rumours that have now finally been confirmed. The launch celebrates the group’s enduring impact since the 1990s, when Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) changed the rules of the game and turned their aesthetic into a veritable religion.
The collection condenses all that energy through technical garments prepared for all types of weather conditions, with urban silhouettes designed for the city. Among the most eagerly awaited pieces are a GORE-TEX jacket and trouser set, as well as a hockey jersey and a hoodie representing the identity of the Wu-Tang Clan.
The launch is scheduled for tomorrow, 30 October, via supreme.com and Supreme physical stores.
