Following the success of the MoonSwatch early last year, Swatch and Blancpain are joining forces to create a unique collection of watches (or not) that could break the internet once again.
It was all speculation until Swatch and Blancpain’s latest collaboration came to light. The pair had been considering the possibility since August 2022, six months after the launch of the MoonSwatch, a model that immediately became a hit and had watch lovers queuing for one of the prized models in the collection.
In the words of Swatch CEO Nick Hayek Jr: “Since the launch of the MoonSwatch I have had conversations with people from luxury brands, not necessarily Swatch, friends who wanted to be chosen for this kind of collaboration. Also, I have a lot of young customers who are aspirational but can’t afford a $30,000+ watch, so with a collaboration like this I can reach more people with my name and my story”.
