Takahiro Miyashita departs from TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist

Takahiro Miyashita has announced his departure from TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist, the brand he founded and led for the past 15 years. His final collection will be for Fall/Winter 2025, titled The Black-and-White Realism.

In a statement shared on social media, the Japanese designer said that “the time has come for what has become a symphony, to close.” He also noted that the brand was created with a focus on well-crafted garments, with each piece conceived as simple in appearance but carefully constructed with attention to detail.

After leaving (N)umber Nine in 2009, Miyashita launched TheSoloist as a new personal project. Although he is stepping away, the brand has confirmed it will continue and is already working on its next phase.

His next steps have not yet been revealed, though he made it clear that his career is not over: “Rock and Roll never dies. The music keeps on playing, louder. Just on a different stage. A new band, a new noise, catch me.”
