Artist Takashi Murakami and jewellery brand IVXLCDM have teamed up to create the “Flower Parent and Child”; a gold necklace inspired by the Japanese artist’s famous 10-metre sculpture in Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills.
This collaboration is part of the ROPPONGI HILLS TAKASHI MURAKAMI project, an event that features a powerful art installation, a floral-themed café and numerous opportunities to view Murakami’s art, including the Stars exhibition at the Mori Art Museum and a colourful afternoon tea at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo.
The 3D Flower Parent and Child necklace has a size of 8 cm and is made of sterling silver plated with 24 carat gold. It is a limited edition and only 30 pieces will be sold.
The piece of jewellery will be available from 28 March at IVXLCDM’s Roppongi Hills shop and will be priced at ¥150,000 JPY (approximately $1,430 USD).
