Takashi Murakami to land in Kyoto in the near future

The celebrated multidisciplinary artist will present his next exhibition in Japan under the title ‘Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto’.

To coincide with the celebration of his 90th birthday, the KYOCERA Museum of Art will host an exclusive tour of Murakami‘s extensive oeuvre from 3 February to 1 September 2024. During the press conference, it was also announced that an iwai-maku (celebration curtain) would be held at the Minamiza Theatre where the succession of the name of the kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro XIII for whom the Japanese artist created the original piece of art would take place.

An obligatory stop if you visit Kyoto, as you will be able to enter Takashi‘s colourful universe in a very special way.

And speaking of art… We talk to Paul Curtis Moose, the creator of Reverse Graffiti.
