Tapas presented this Tuesday, July 2, the fourth edition of ‘The Ibiza Issue’, SpainMedia’s summer monograph dedicated to the eternal summers on the island of Ibiza and all the gastronomic magic that unfolds there.
With the collaboration of Belvedere Vodka, Uber and RG Construction 360, the party has had Marcelo Burlon as the main protagonist. The DJ, fashion designer and multidisciplinary artist not only starred on the cover of this new special edition of Tapas, but also opened the doors of his colossal brutalist villa.
In its extensive gardens, we have been able to celebrate life in style, with cocktails prepared by Belvedere Vodka and where Selvático, Burlon’s own brand of mezcal, has not been missing, in the same experience paired with the sounds of several DJs like Marcelo Burlon himself, who has put more than rhythm to the hectic night, accompanied by Alex Maldonado, Martin de la Fuente and Chloe Callard.
During the event, the president of SpainMedia and editor and director of Tapas Magazine and Forbes, Andrés Rodríguez, thanked all the guests for their presence, recalling that we have been “editing Tapas Ibiza for four years now, it is our commitment to this island that we love so much”.
In the same way, he emphasized the issues to be solved in Ibiza, “which has a problem of growth and sustainability that we have to take care of together”. Finally, he thanked “Marcelo, who understood the issue of the magazine and who has opened his house to us. Happy summer!”.
And the fact is that Burlon, after twenty years of constant visits to the island, has already established Ibiza as his new home, as he tells in the interview of the summer issue: “Instinct has led me to opt for a very simple life, to live day by day, without many future goals,” he says. I am 47 years old and I am very down to earth and very calm. I live in the countryside, in Ibiza, with my dogs and my husband.
The Ibizan summer and Tapas continue to consolidate their connection. A tradition that has become mandatory reading.
