With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, Nigerian-British designer Tega Akinola has launched a series of recycled Nike and The North Face bags with APOC Store.
Made from upcycled Nike and The North Face garments, Akinola’s sustainable bags come in a soft, plush texture and in a variety of shades ranging from red to pink, orange, green, blue, purple and red. Each of the bags features a different silhouette with Nike or The North Face branding on the front.
“It was just the idea of buying second-hand stuff and making it new. When I realised that I could help contribute or help inspire people to be more conscious of what they buy and why they buy it, I started to refine it a little bit more… but if everyone does something small, it helps to be more sustainable. in fashion,” Akinola stated.
Tega Akinola’s rework bags are now available on the APOC STORE website.
