In an exercise in pastoral escapism with a contemporary twist, Louis Vuitton unveils its new Pre-Collection for men: an ode to British sartorial heritage.
In it, sports superstar and acclaimed actor Jude Bellingham and Callum Turner—two names that today define the idea of new British cool—take centre stage in the editorial by Oliver Hadlee Pearch. Both embody the duality that Pharrell has been building with excellence since his arrival at Louis Vuitton.
We see them posing in perfectly manicured gardens, in front of stone monuments, and even leaning on a classic convertible that looks like something out of a film. Alongside them, a troupe of British dogs—Corgis, Cockers, and Border Collies—add an adorable nod to the aristocratic imagination.
The creative director plays with flared volumes and cuts that exude the effortless style of a gentleman who knows he is doing everything right. Unexpected hybrids appear, such as windbreakers with leather sleeves, tweed blouses and quilted Monogram waistcoats. In terms of footwear, the new LV Title trainers add a nostalgic touch with a flat sole adorned with Damien. A love letter to skateboarding and the LV archive, filtered through Pharrell‘s unmistakable vision.
The LV Touch line of bags and backpacks features grainy suede, precise details and the House’s signature savoir-faire, which it proudly displays without needing to say a word. And yes, there is also a collection for pets: collars, leashes, harnesses, down jackets and even a flannel ball, all adorned with Monogram.
