Its new campaign highlights Balenciaga’s latest footwear, starting with the Circuit trainer. In a series of portraits by Chris Lensz, models Annabelle and Khadim wear extremely lightweight shoes in a white and silver colour scheme, posing in a setting that evokes archetypal domesticity.
Balenciaga Circuit reinvents a modern trainer with bold proportions, fusing ideal comfort with high concept. Its name refers to a continuous loop, either of an athletic activity to be repeated or that which is necessary to complete an electric current.
A dynamic sole, which swells under the ball and heel, promotes movement and agility, while its upper is composed of aerodynamic ventilated panels and a fused eyelet gusset. Three different Balenciaga logos decorate the outside of the shoe, illustrating the shoe’s hybrid design.
