JJJJJound’s Coach jacket comes in leather thanks to leading sustainable leather tanning company, ECCO Leather. The company uses DriTan™ technology that aims to revolutionise the leather industry. Leather tanning has always been considered impossible without the use of large amounts of water. DriTan™ utilises the moisture already present in the hides, reduces the amount of chemicals used and reduces the production of waste water.
Ecco Leather invites us to be part of their EL3 initiative to create the new Coach jacket by JJJJound. This project drives sustainable innovation through leather. Ecco Leather states: “As long as the meat and dairy industries exist, so will leather. Investing heavily in water purification, more sustainable processes and treatments, and recycling techniques are part of our daily business”.
