The dream factory of Collina Strada and Desigual

The second meeting between the Catalan brand and the firm created by Hillary Taymour brings with it the new collection ‘My Best Friend and I’.

In this new adventure, Collina Strada is inspired by the figure of the imaginary friend with the aim of exploring the complexity of personalities and how they interact with the environment. With a nostalgic approach, the New York-based designer invites us to immerse ourselves in a dreamlike world, guiding us on a journey of self-discovery where the multiple facets of the self meet in harmony. A reminder that, no matter how much time passes, we can always return to that happy corner of our childhood.

In this way, and with the help of Desigual, the collection fuses a playful and childlike aesthetic with the sophistication of contemporary design. The bright colours, the play of textures and the botanical prints propose a play of contrasts between the rigorous and the organic, with watercolours of abstract flowers and geometric patterns.

The silhouettes do not follow traditional conventions; they are free and fluid, genderless and combinable. Denim, satin, lace and mesh take over most of the pieces such as oversized jackets, asymmetrical lingerie dresses and jorts.

And of course, Collina Strada reinforces its commitment to sustainability, betting on the future of the industry with garments made from responsible materials such as BCI cotton, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and recycled polyester.
