On the occasion of the Christmas holidays, The Hoxton, Poblenou is holding a Market in the heart of the vibrant district on Thursday 14th and Friday 15th from 6pm to 9pm, and Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th from 11am to 9pm.
The event, which will take place in the hotel’s Patio, will include the participation of some of the most important emerging brands in the neighbourhood, as well as others that have a close relationship with the hotel, which since its opening has forged links with the local firms that most represent them, acting as a loudspeaker for them. Thus, it will be possible to enjoy gastronomy and firms such as Cristina Junquero Jewellery, LA MAJA, Canada Goods, Funky Bakers, Brunells, Three Marks Coffe, La Tavernícola and Alma Loca.
Cristina Junquero Jewellery offers a new and fun perspective on jewellery. Those who come along will be able to discover pieces carefully handmade in her studio with some lovely details of flowers, houses and hearts. They will also be able to find the beautiful shirts of LA MAJA, a sustainable clothing brand that uses recycled materials to create iconic and unique designs in the world. Among the most creative proposals of the place, Canada Goods will also be there with its collection of ideas, objects and inspirations. CANADA is a successful international audiovisual production company based in the Poblenou district, and is known for its long experience directing and producing commercials and video clips since 2008.
For coffee lovers, Three Marks Coffee will offer happiness in capsule form. This sanctuary of speciality coffee already has three locations in Barcelona, one of them a shop & cafè in the artistic district of Barcelona. In addition, it will also be possible to taste the dishes of two gastronomic proposals that will make the mouths of anyone who comes along. Firstly, the neighbourhood’s slow Argentinian restaurant, La Tavernicola, will be serving up tasty morsels such as its famous choripán accompanied by an interesting selection of natural wines, while the bar Alma Loca, Poblenou’s fun and eclectic bar, will be serving festive cocktails and mouth-watering cakes.
There will also be sweet treats for those with a sweet tooth from Brunells, a tribute to Barcelona’s traditional pastries that updates the most emblematic desserts and surprises with innovative recipes such as Panettone, neulas, carquiñolis and other typical sweets of the season; and the Funky Bakers Deli, which has won the hearts of the locals with its sweet and savoury delicacies from around the world. In addition, there will also be a selection of gifts perfect for the Christmas tree.
Hox Gallery, an obligatory stop
Also on the occasion of these special dates, the Hox Gallery, located in front of the hotel’s lift, has a new mural by two artists from the neighbourhood: Asis Percales and Geco. The pair of artists will show their particular vision of Christmas in Poblenou, with a 3×1.5-metre work whose protagonist will be the fast and vibrant line. As icing on the cake, both illustrators have intervened in a cagati that will be on display during the Christmas holidays.
Pizzas Detroit-style at Four Corners
After a stroll around the various stands, Hoxton puts the icing on the cake with authentic Detroit-style pizzas from Four Corners, as all purchases at the market will be rewarded with a 10% discount voucher for the restaurant. The famous slice-shop will be open and offering their ‘to-go’ pizza slices, which can be accompanied by natural wine, craft beer and soft drinks. In addition, for those who haven’t tried them yet, the two pizzas created together with Piel de Gallina will be available, a dream food collab that can be enjoyed until the 24th of December.
