More than three decades after its last appearance, the Prémiere de Chanel watch is back in an exclusive reissue.
The original piece was conceived in 1987 by Jacques Helleu, then Artistic Director of Chanel. Its distinctive octagonal design pays homage to the iconic No. 5 perfume bottle and is combined with an 18-carat yellow gold-plated steel case.
As for the bracelet, it is completed by a chain with interlaced leather straps featuring the same structure as the handles of the maison‘s quilted bags, while the inner part has a minimalist black lacquer dial with no numerals, indices, date or hands.
To celebrate the relaunch, Chanel has set up an exclusive pop-up at the IFC in Hong Kong that will be open until May 7. If you want to buy the Chanel Premiere Édition Original you can do so through the official website.
