After the airing of the last episode of the first season of ‘The Idol,’ actor and creator The Weeknd expressed his appreciation on Twitter and shared photos of himself and Lily-Rose Depp.
“The finale. Grateful to share this moment with all of you as the season comes to an end. Continue to push the vision no matter how bumpy the journey,” he tweeted. “Jocelyn forever.”
This tweet has generated speculation about a possible new season, as The Weeknd mentioned the idea of “continuing to push the vision forward” and used the phrase “season comes to an end” instead of “series.” However, HBO has yet to officially announce a second season and in mid-June they confirmed that a second season production has not yet been confirmed.
