The presentations of the menswear collections in Milan and Paris have revealed certain colours and palettes that will be on trend this season.
Brown
The combination of brown, tan and rust tones was key during the fashion presentations. For example, Kim Jones for Dior Men presented a shiny brown fur-lined jacket over a tan skirt, complemented by brown tights and boots for look 49.
Green
Designers found new ways to combine bright green tones with neutrals and monochromes. At Louis Vuitton, Colm Dillane used fluorescent green to highlight a monogrammed puffer jacket in a neutral shade over a green cardigan and neutral coloured trousers.
Grey
Designers used grey from head to toe for both streetwear and sophisticated tailoring. Matthew M. Williams’ 23rd look for Givenchy was a full tracksuit with a deconstructed third layer, all in light grey.
Blue
Designers used various shades of blue in their collections, but it was a bright shade of cobalt that stood out, especially for outerwear. Kenzo’s look 28 combined a cobalt blue fleece with sleeves over a blue shirt with white stitching and dark blue skinny jeans.
