A$AP Nast, a reference in the world of fashion and streetwear, rapper and Lacoste fan, expresses his point of view on elegance in the brand’s latest footwear campaign. Tattooed on his chest or embossed on his trainers, the artist “always carries the spirit of the crocodile”.

The L001 celebrates Lacoste‘s iconic tennis codes in a new and undeniably modern trainer; an instant classic. As the name suggests, the L001 is the first of its kind: a dynamic style for those who understand spotrswear references. Refined aesthetics and retro details make for a silhouette that’s here to stay. Key elements come straight from the Lacoste archive: the René, as well as the characteristic lines of the heart and racquet grip, give the L001 an angular design in the middle.

The shoe is elegantly sporty; it is designed for a visually discerning and sportswear-savvy generation whose passion for good design is not limited to clothing. The new L001 pays tribute to the recognisable codes of sportswear: clean stripes and the subtle use of primary colours and classic shades (timeless white, tennis green, dark navy, light mahogany, plum, saffron, classic red and mint).
