The new Bottega Veneta clown shoes

Bottega Veneta has put on sale a new shoe inspired by clown clothing at a price of $1,400 USD.

 

Bottega Veneta’s new release takes inspiration from the classic costumes of clowns. It is a brushed leather shoe in black with a bulging toe, baptized by the Italian house as “Helium Lace-Up Shoe”. This novel silhouette is quite a departure from minimalism, continuing the trend of exaggerated footwear.

The calfskin upper is accompanied by matching laces and stitching. The insoles include the embossed ‘BOTTEGA VENETA’ inscription, and the soles are made of biodegradable leather with a discreet 2.5 cm heel.

The shoes are now available in Bottega Veneta stores, on its website and in selected stores at a price of $1,400 USD.
