The new Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition looks like this

Nintendo has announced the new Nintendo Switch OLED Mario Red Edition that will be available on Wednesday, October 6, 2023. 

Revealed during the recent Super Mario Bros Wonder Direct, this console has become the latest version of the Nintendo Switch OLED, and its release coincides with that of the game. These releases mark a celebration following the success of ‘The Super Mario Bros. The Movie.’ which was released a few months ago.

Both the dock and the Joy-Cons arrive in the iconic plumber’s iconic colour: red. However, everything is kept fairly understated rather than being too over-the-top, with a silhouette of Mario in the bottom left corner of the dock, and a cluster of gold coins painted on the back I/O.

As for the video game, Super Mario Bros Wonder is one of the most anticipated games for fans of old-school 2D platformers. It’s been 10 years since the last official release, New Super Mario Bros U, which hit shops digitally and physically in 2013.
