The partnership between Louis Vuitton and UNICEF celebrates its 10th anniversary

This commitment to solidarity is celebrated with a very special piece.

On 12 January 2016, Louis Vuitton first sealed its support for UNICEF with a clear promise: to help the world’s most vulnerable children. From that commitment was born the Silver Lockit collection, a piece of jewellery steeped in symbolism and inspired by the historic padlock on the 1901 Steamer bag. A design that not only represents the values of trust, protection and transmission that define the Maison, but also connects directly with UNICEF‘s mission.

Since then, the collection has been reinterpreted year after year with a goal that goes beyond aesthetics: to raise awareness of UNICEF programmes and raise funds to guarantee the fundamental rights of children. Ten years on, the results speak for themselves. The collaboration between LV and the organisation has raised more than £28 million for essential health, education and protection programmes for vulnerable children around the world.

To celebrate this significant anniversary, the House has decided to elevate its design to a new level. For the first time, the Silver Lockit is presented in yellow gold, in a unisex edition produced in very limited quantities. A gesture that underlines the exceptional nature of the piece and highlights the importance of the moment it celebrates. For each gold pendant sold, UNICEF will receive £800.
