The PUMA Suede through the DIY approach of LAAMS

The sports giant has teamed up with the Lower East Side creative hub to reinvent one of its most iconic silhouettes.

Inspired by DIY and with the aim of offering an artistic and customisable experience, the ‘Black Canvas’ model emerges, a double-layer trainer made of canvas that can be detached to give way to a second colourway hidden in the lower part. And to make this encounter even more interesting, PUMA proposes a fun game that invites users to create a unique expression through the message ‘Wear them into the ground’.

Other details that make the difference are the fur laces, the silver jewels that sign the collaboration and even a map of the New York neighbourhood where LAAMS is located. The trainers are delivered in a canvas bag decorated with sketches of the design and a box that looks like a white canvas on watercolour paper.

The PUMA x LAAMS Suede will go on sale on August 3rd through the New York brand’s website and in selected PUMA stores.
