The rabanne glam grunge by Julien Dossena

This season is given over to the tension of the structured and the fluid, the contained and the bursting at the seams.

The rabanne glam grunge by Julien Dossena

With the Resort 26 collection, the designer redraws the coordinates of contemporary style and the boldness of a visual poet.

From the nostalgic echo of Françoise Hardy‘s wardrobe to the playful pulse of today’s youth, the proposal celebrates contrasts where glamour and grunge coexist in perfect harmony (and without asking permission).

As the Contain-and-Release concept of his last runway show already hinted, this season rabanne indulges in the tension of the structured and the fluid, the contained and the bursting. The result? A tribute to opulence understood in a less ostentatious, more instinctive way. Silhouettes that flirt with the 70s in their volume, with the 30s in the treatment of surfaces, and with the 90s in their irreverence.

What at first glance appears to be a Hardy-esque romantic ode quickly becomes something more complex. In Dossena’s hands, nostalgia stands as a gateway to the unknown and unexpected. The pieces function as complete looks and, at the same time, as interchangeable elements of a wardrobe that understands the power of controlled excess.

And speaking of new collections… Alessandro Michele reinvents seduction with the Valentino Garavani Vain Bag.
