20th Century Studios has released the first teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The studio confirms that the sequel will arrive in cinemas on 1 May 2026. The 51-second preview features Madonna’s “Vogue” as its soundtrack. It also confirms the return of the main cast, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.
This teaser ends with a brief encounter between Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs inside a Runway lift. The scene closes with the line “Took you long enough”, a clear nod to the 2006 film.
The story unfolds at a time when print is losing ground within the publishing industry. Miranda Priestly tries to maintain her influence as the sector shifts due to economic pressure and digital growth. In this new context, Emily Charlton appears as a luxury executive with access to key advertising budgets, positioning her as a direct competitor.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings back David Frankel as director and Aline Brosh McKenna as screenwriter. It also adds Kenneth Branagh and Simone Ashley, expanding the universe surrounding Runway.
